On Wednesday, September 9, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Greeley Police officers responded to a traffic crash in the 4700 block of 16th Street. According to witnesses, a Camaro driven by a 19-year-old man, was seen traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on 16th Street across 47th Avenue. The vehicle crossed the median and collided with a tree near Aims Community College. The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died. His name will be released by the Weld County Coroner’s Office pending next-of-kin notification.
