Man convicted of attempted murder in Longmont gets 30 years in prison

A man convicted in a stabbing in Longmont is heading to prison for 30 years. John McKinley, 60, who was sentenced this week, was found guilty of attempted manslaughter in July after a failed self-defense claim, according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald. McKinley is accused of stabbing Joshua White in Roosevelt Park in August of 2020. White, who was stabbed in the chest, recovered from his injuries. The stabbing was caught on surveillance.
