Greeley Police bust bicyclist recognized from booking photo

A bicyclist arrested after a Greeley police officer recognized him from a booking photo is scheduled to appear in court Friday. The Greeley Tribune reports, an officer spotted 45-year-old Marcus Schimpf, wanted on active felony arrest warrants for theft and burglary, as he rode his bike in front of the officer’s patrol vehicle last month on 17th Avenue. Schimpf could face additional charges when he appears in Weld District Court today, after drugs were found on him during the arrest.
