Greeley residents will have the opportunity to speak about the proposed 2027 budget following $17.1 million in budget cuts at Tuesday’s public hearing. According to the Greeley Tribune, the city set a budget-cut goal for every department this year as it shifted to a new budgeting process, with some departments having to cut as much as 25% to reach a goal of cutting the city’s general fund budget by $18.1 million. The remaining $1 million gap will be covered by funds carried over from 2025.
