The city of Greeley will pay a former city assistant records manager $65,000 to settle claims of economic and emotional distress stemming from alleged discrimination and retaliation before she resigned in 2024. According to the Greeley Tribune, during its Tuesday meeting, the Greeley City Council unanimously approved the settlement with Kathryn Sienkowski, ending the lawsuit she filed in August 2025. The settlement agreement states the city did not engage in any wrongdoing and followed procedure leading up to Sienkowski’s resignation in May 2024, but it does grant her financial reparations for the alleged emotional distress.
