Weld County residents who rely on SNAP could lose their benefits. A proposed federal rule change by the current administration would end government assistance for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, for 1,789 Weld County residents, according to the Colorado Department of Human Services. The rule change is up for public comment until Sept. 23.
