The Evans Police Department is hiring. Evans Police Chief Rick Brandt said the department is looking for certified police officers to fill a couple vacancies at the department. Brandt said the department hopes to begin hiring next week for non-certified candidates, who would be sent to a local police academy. The deadline to apply is Friday.
