Data Center Pre-Annexation Agreement To Go Before Greeley City Council

The Greeley City Council will review an agreement between Greeley and Global AI that would require the data center developer to annex into the city or lose water access. The Greeley Tribune reports  council will review this resolution during a special meeting, followed immediately by the regular work session. At the work session, the council will discuss automated license plate readers, Flock Safety cameras and drones, following many public comments last week where residents expressed privacy concerns about these technologies. The council will review and consider a pre-annexation agreement that would require Global AI to petition for annexation by March 31, 2028, or Greeley will stop providing water to the property.
