BOULDER, CO – Charges were formally filed Wednesday against a Boulder man accused in a 2017 dating app sexual assault. Jose Luis Avina, who was 19 when a woman he met through a phone app claimed Avina raped her in the backseat of his car at Foothills Community Park on Cherry Ave., was arrested last week, the Daily Camera reports. Avina is currently being held at the Boulder County Jail on $50,000 bond.
