Boulder County man being hailed a hero

BOULDER, CO – A Boulder County man is being hailed a hero. The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office presented Jonathan Palmer with an official Sheriff’s Commendation this week after he talked a man down from the summit of Bear Peak who was attempting to end his life, according to online media reports. Authorities say he had texted a suicide note prompting a search, before Palmer called 911 to report he was with a man who needed help. Palmer was credited with saving the distraught man’s life.
