Cameron Peak Fire Information

A wildfire started yesterday afternoon around 1:45 and had grown more than 1,500 acres in less than four hours. The Cameron Peak Fire near Chambers Lake in western Larimer County has shut down roads and forced evacuation orders. As of 5 p.m Thursday, forty-five firefighters as well as air equipment were fighting the blaze. Residents who have to evacuate can text LCEVAC to 888777 for updates. The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is asking travelers to avoid going to Red Feather Lakes or Poudre Canyon because of the fire.
