Early Monday morning, Greeley Police officers were dispatched to the 5800 block of 10th Street following reports of a two-vehicle traffic crash. A Honda CR-V, driven by a 33-year-old woman, was traveling eastbound on 10th Street. The vehicle collided with a Chrysler sedan that was westbound on 10th St., driven by a 45-year-old woman. First responders extricated both drivers from their vehicles and immediately initiated life-saving measures. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital, where the driver of the Honda CR-V succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. Her name will be released by the Weld County Coroner’s Office pending next-of-kin notification.
