The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment is asking anyone who has had direct contact with a bat near Creedmore Lake in Red Feather Lakes reach out to the health department. According to the Loveland Reporter Herald, a bat discovered on June 6 near the lake was not tested, and its rabies status is unknown, so county health officials are asking anyone who had recent contact with a bat in that area to contact the department for proper guidance. The department clarified in a press release that simply being in the area does not qualify as contact.
