The High Plains Library District has canceled the Pride PopUp Celebration scheduled on June 10th at the University of North Colorado. Interestingly, it is very unclear as to why the event was canceled. However, many believe it is part of a nationwide backlash against the FGBTQIA+ community. Whether the decision to cancel was made by the High Plains Library District or the University of North Colorado, many local community members have expressed sadness that the event will not take place.
