Tough choices are ahead for the Poudre School District as a 37-member Facilities Planning Steering Committee continues to assemble recommendations for school consolidations, closings and boundary changes. The Coloradoan reports the district, like many others across the state, is dealing with the loss of per-pupil funding associated with declining enrollment. The committee has been revising the four draft scenarios it released March 19 based on public feedback and additional information it has gained. The committee provided an update on its work at the Board of Education’s regular meeting this week and is expected to unveil revised scenarios May 7.
