Public Speaks Out On Challenging Poudre School District Decisions

No schools should be closed in the Poudre School District, and if they have to happen, plans should be in place to minimize the affect on students, families and staff.   That was the clear message coming from many of the 140 people who shared their thoughts on the district’s consolidation plans at a meeting with the superintendent and school board members this week.    The Coloradoan reports some indicated that if school consolidations and closings must occur, that the Board of Education allow more time and provide more resources for the Facilities Planning Steering Committee and others to determine the best options.
