Pinocchios Owner Gets More Time To Find Lawyer In Embezzlement Case

She’s accused of embezzling more than $3 million from investors and now a Greeley business owner is getting more time to find an attorney, following a Thursday court appearance.  61 year old Annie Vick told a judge she has had trouble finding representation after one lawyer canceled a meeting with her and another told her they were too busy to take her case.   The Greeley Tribune reports Vick — who founded the Pinocchios chain in northern Colorado, which includes Pinocchios Incredible Italian at 905 16th St. and Pinocchios Prime at 804 8th St. in Greeley — is accused of soliciting money from investors — though she was not licensed to sell securities — without disclosing the risks involved or the losses she incurred.
