Some Sunday thoughts

Welcome to one of the strange schedule quirks in the Big Sky this season, as the Bears are in Bozeman to meet Montana State Monday night, just hours after getting beat down by Montana.

There’s little positive to take from Saturday’s outcome, as the Grizzlies dominated and the Bears looked nothing like the team that has its sights set on challenging for a conference title. As I jokingly told Jeff Linder, I don’t know that I’ve seen as many pained, “what are we doing” looks on his face as I saw Saturday.

Looking back at it, it reminds me of Northern Colorado’s win over Weber State last year in Reno, with the outcome flipped.

Film session ahead of practice Sunday night was anything but pleasant. Short, not sweet and, hopefully, eye-opening.

So, come Monday night, we may in line to learn something about this team. Worthington Arena is never an easy place to come in and play and the Bobcats have been as strong at home this season as the Bears have.
