CPW kills mountain lion after dog attacks in Grand Lake

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) agents have killed a mountain lion in Grand Lake. The kill happened Monday just days after a mountain lion attacked one dog and killed another. CPW said a man was walking with his dog when a lion snatched it off a porch. The man scared it off, and his dog had to be taken to a vet. In another attack, on January 19, CPW said a resident killed a mountain lion that killed his dog. CPW ruled the killing “justified” due to the threat to human safety.
