Woman charged in Greeley arson, murder to testify against co-defendant

A woman charged in an arson and murder in Greeley in 2021 agrees to testify against another woman charged in the case. The Greeley Tribune reports Hosanna Varela, 25, has agreed to testify against 21-year-old Stay Rodriguez in exchange for less prison time. Varela pleaded guilty to charges of arson, tampering with evidence, and accessory to murder. She’ll face between 16 and 32 years in prison at sentencing. Rodriguez faces charges of first-degree murder and life in prison if convicted.
