Proposed apartment complex in Fort Collins in limbo

Plans for a new apartment complex in Fort Collins are up in air. The Savoy goes before the city’s planning and zoning commission this week. But developer Les Kaplan tolds the Coloradoan the cost of borrowing money has risen 250% and that combined with supply chain shortages and increased labor costs has made the project less viable. Kaplan had proposed nearly 250 apartments in nine buildings over two years. The Savoy would include a clubhouse, a pool, and a coworking space. A public meeting on the project is happening Thursday at 6 p.m. in city council chambers. For the full story, visit https://www.coloradoan.com/.
