Larimer County Board Of Health Approves Community Health Improvement Plan

Mental health and  social environment are two areas of focus as the Larimer County Board of Health approved its 2024-29 Community Health Improvement Plan.   By law, every five years each public health department in Colorado is required to undertake a “Community Health Assessment.   Members say loneliness can be a public health problem so they’re looking to increase use of and access to  community spaces like parks and community centers, reports the Loveland Reporter Herald.     Along the same lines,  mental health will be addressed by creating mentorship programs and safe community spaces, especially for groups prone to mental health issues, like veterans, LGBT groups and young people.
