Wildfire in NW Colorado exhibiting ‘extreme fire behavior’

A wildfire burning in northwest Colorado is rapidly getting larger. The Iron Fire was sparked at lunchtime on Friday. It’s burning 18 miles northwest of Craig and spans more than 7,300 acres. The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office said the fire is displaying “extreme fire behavior” amid a Red Flag Warning over the weekend. At least six structures were threatened, but no evacuations were ordered. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
