Two people arrested in October will spend time in prison after Evans officers seized nearly 3,000 fentanyl pills from their cars. According to the Greeley Tribune, 32 year old Isaiah Benivamonde was sentenced to five years in the Colorado Department of Corrections. Nicolette Ortiz, 37, was sentenced to 10 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections. Benivamonde had about 1,229 counterfeit M-30 pills containing fentanyl in his car when he was arrested Oct. 5, according to his arrest affidavit. Evans police had responded to a theft at a convenience store near the intersection of 29th Avenue and 37th Street when Benivamonde ran away from an officer after briefly speaking to them.
