Drivers speeding along the busier streets in Evans may start to see a $40 citation arrive in the mail if they’re seen going 10 mph or more over the speed limit. The cameras will go live this fall after a warning period to tell drivers where those cameras are. The Greeley Tribune reports the Evans Police Department will use an automated vehicle identification system, or speed cameras, to supplement officers’ usual patrol. Evans officials are planning for two cameras, with one at a fixed location and one mobile camera. The fixed camera will be located at the intersection of 37th Street and Palermo Avenue.
