The man whose murder charge was dropped after the investigation showed self-defense was sentenced to six years of probation Wednesday for related controlled substance possession charges. According to the Loveland Reporter Herald, Estevan Vasquez, 23, was sentenced to six years of supervised probation in 8th Judicial District Court in Fort Collins onTuesday – which Judge Sarah Cure noted was 988 days after the case began. Vasquez was arrested in connection to the deadly shooting in January of 2024 of 49 year old Jeffrey Myler at The Edge Apartments.
