A project to replace the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad tracks on Fourth Street in downtown Loveland will close the crossing to pedestrians as well as vehicles through Wednesday. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports BNSF is replacing rails, crossing panels and underlying ballast rock at the crossing between Garfield and Railroad avenues, taking advantage of ongoing construction on the city’s Heart Improvement Plan (HIP) Streets project. The work is expected to be completed Wednesday.
