On Friday, September 25, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Greeley Police officers responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of 12th Avenue and 16th Street. According to a preliminary investigation, a 25-year-old woman was riding an e-scooter southbound on 12th Avenue when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic while crossing 16th Street. She was struck by a westbound Subaru sedan, driven by a 21-year-old woman. The e-scooter rider sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive. The driver of the Subaru was not injured. Initial findings indicate the e-scooter rider was at fault for the collision. No charges have been filed against her at this time, however charges may be pending following the outcome of the investigation.
