Though Loveland does not currently have any data center proposals on the table, the City Council doesn’t want to wait for one to arrive before deciding how to regulate them. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports on Tuesday, members will take a closer look at the wide-ranging implications of data center development and consider whether they should pursue a formal pause on applications while the city reviews its rules and policies. The discussion was set in motion in June, when Councilor Sarah Rothberg proposed a temporary moratorium on large-scale data centers through an emailed Rule of Four request.
