Colorado State has issued a public apology to BYU for Rams students using a derogatory chant with profanity before and during their football game Saturday at Canvas Stadium. According to the Greeley Tribune, the statement, provided to media late in CSU’s 41-23 loss to the Cougars, said: “Colorado State University apologizes to BYU, its student-athletes and fans, and to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints for the chant directed at them during Saturday’s game.” There was no further word on what, if any, action would be taken.
