One of the two staff members at a Windsor childcare facility who were arrested for child abuse earlier this year has pleaded guilty to a felony charge.
The Coloradoan reports two staff members at Kiddie Academy of Windsor, 4701 Oakmont St., were arrested in April 2026, in separate incidents of alleged child abuse in January and in May, according to court documents.
In January, Mercedes Leal, now 20, reportedly injured a child while outside on the playground with multiple children.
Sentencing is set for November 12th.
