FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 14th Annual Superhero Run to Benefit Life Stories Child &
Family Advocacy in Weld County
[Greeley, CO] – [8/21/2026] – The 14th Annual Superhero Run, a highly anticipated event
benefiting Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy, is set to take place on Saturday,
September 19th at the Greeley FunPlex. Participants of all ages are invited to don their
favorite superhero costumes and join forces to support the organization’s critical work with
abused and neglected children in the community.
The Superhero Run features a 5K, 10K, and a special 1K Kids Fun Run, making it an
inclusive event for runners and walkers of all skill levels. This family-friendly event not only
promotes health and fitness but also brings the community together for a cause that
makes a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children in Weld County.
“Each year, the Superhero Run brings together hundreds of community members who are
passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families,” said Susan
Mckenzie, Fundraising and Development Manager of Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy.
“The funds raised through this event allow us to continue our work advocating for children
who have experienced abuse and neglect, ensuring they have the support and resources
they need to heal and thrive.”
Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy has been a pillar in the Weld County community,
offering services such as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and the Child
Advocacy Center, which provide critical support to children and families navigating the
challenges of the legal system and child welfare.
This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with costumes, carnival
games, and a live DJ- the event is guaranteed to be a fun time for the entire family.
Participants are encouraged to register early, as early bird pricing ends September 7th.
Prizes will be awarded for best costumes, top finishers, and largest teams.
