A ‘stand your ground’ case between two dogs is being investigated by Thornton Animal Control

THORNTON, Colo. — A ‘stand your ground’ case between two dogs is being investigated by Thornton Animal Control. Officers are trying to determine whether a “two-year-old blue American Pit Bull terrier type dog” was provoked when it attacked and killed a Chihuahua visiting the house next door in Thornton on Saturday (Aug. 17), FOX31 reports. Officers are still interviewing witnesses in the case to determine on whose property the fatal fight occurred and if the pit bull was defending itself.
