Man Sentenced For Almost Hitting 2 Larimer County Deputies

A Larimer County man was sentenced to spend almost 50 years in prison after being found guilty of attempted murder for almost hitting two deputies with his truck during a standoff at a storage unit while deputies were trying to arrest him.  The Greeley Tribune reports  Zachary Widener, 43, was sentenced to 48 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections during a May 14 sentencing hearing.   A Weld County jury found him guilty of two counts of attempted first-degree murder— extreme indifference in a March trial.
