Fort Collins residents might be asked to sign a petition focused on mass surveillance in the city. According to the Coloradoan, unhappy about Fort Collins Police Services’ use of Flock Safety license plate reader cameras, a group of citizens is circulating a petition to put an item on the ballot that would give residents the final say in any new surveillance technology used by the city.
