Man Charged In Car Wash Screwdriver Stabbing Incident

A man is in the Weld County Jail after police say he was involved in robbing a car wash when someone stabbed the gas station owner with a suspected screwdriver.  The Greeley Tribune reports  33 year old Juan Ayala was arrested late last month after he had tried to break into a coin machine at the car wash located at the Sinclair station at 213 18th Street.  Police say as Ayala tried to pry the machine open and was confronted by the owner, another man stabbed the victim. The pair took off and Ayala was later spotted by police  walking in Greeley.
