New Natural Area Opens In Greeley

Greeley’s newest natural area is open for the season. According to the Greeley Tribune,  the city will announce a name for the area, previously known as the Shurview Property, early next week. Visitors can access the natural area from Missile Site Park, which also opened for the season earlier this week at 10611 Colo. 257 Spur, just off the U.S. 34 Bypass.  It’s open  to bikers, walkers and joggers, but no motorized vehicles or dogs are allowed. There is a portable bathroom at the trailhead. Though the park is open for the season, it may close briefly when conditions are muddy following rain or snow.
