CSU seeks to identify students involved in inappropriate ‘Russia’ chant

Colorado State University is working to identify the students who made inappropriate chants from the student section of Moby Arena at Saturday night’s game against Utah. The students are accused of chanting “Russia” at Ukranian player Max Shulga while the two countries are at war. The university apologized for the incident, calling it “unacceptable” and a violation of the Mountain West sportsmanship policy. Rams Coach Niko Medved also called it “unacceptable.” The Coloradoan reports CSU said the students also violated the Student Conduct Code and could be barred from future games or events.
