Erie town board members have extended the moratorium on oil and gas drilling. The six-month extension will prevent a lapse in the freeze that was set to expire next month. Board members are hopeful that state lawmakers will pass some new regulations for drilling operations this year. Boulder, Lafayette, and Superior all have drilling moratoriums right now.
