Recruiting Notebook: Marque English, Butler County (KS) CC

UNC has earned the commitment of Marque English, a 6’6″ swing junior college forward who has three years eligibility remaining.

A 41% three point shooter, English averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds a game this season at Butler County Community College.

English started all but one game, averaging 23 minutes per contest for the Grizzlies, who went 25-8 overall and finished second in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference’s East Division.

Prior to Butler, English spent one season at Branson, MO’s, Link Prep after a highly-decorated high school career, capped by the 2018 Kansas 5A Player of the Year award. He led Pittsburg High to a pair of state tournament berths, including a third-place finish in Kansas’ second-largest classification.
