Reds look to take State Volleyball Championship

The Eaton Reds look to get back to winning championships. Their volleyball team that is. The Reds have won 3 titles in the last year. The Fightin’ Reds Wrestling team were co-state champions in wrestling, the ladies won the softball title this year, and then the football team took home the hardware in December. So what is in between the lady Reds and a state title? First up is the Resurrection Christian Cougars. The Cougars look to pull off an upset in the first round of the State tournament at 8am on Wednesday the 12th. That match will be broadcast on KFKA. The University Bulldogs took the Reds to 5 sets earlier this year as well and come in as the 5 seed. The two big threats still loom in the form of the Lutheran Lions (who the Reds beat earlier this year) and the defending State Champs, Sterling Tigers. The Reds and Tigers had an epic 5 set match earlier this year that the Reds won. Can the Reds ad a 4th title? Will there be an upset? It is Volleyball in May and anything can happen. Tune in on the 12th and 13th on KFKFA for match broadcasts and state tournament information.
