MLB counts 6 positive tests (4 players) in last week

Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association confirmed six new positive COVID-19 tests in the past week, including four players and two staff members.

According to a joint statement issued Friday, the six positive samples from July 17-23 were out of 10,939 tests, a positivity rate of 0.055 percent.

There were also six positive tests during the previous seven-day period (July 10-16), including five players.

That raises the total number of positive tests to 99 individuals (84 players, 15 staff members) since intake screening began on June 27…Read more at Field Level Media
