Parsons ‘officially’ named CSU president

A Colorado State University (CSU) alumna and former long-time administrator is now university president. Amy Parsons was formally hired Friday as CSU’s 16th president. Parsons was picked as the sole finalist for the position earlier this month. The Board of Governors met Friday and unanimously voted to hire her as president. Parsons, who’s only the second woman to lead the university, pledged to make CSU “the university of choice” in Colorado and a national leader in research. Parsons will take over the job February 1.
