Deductions for CO’s new paid family leave to start in New Year

Coloradoans may notice a little less money in your paycheck in the new year. Most Colorado workers will see a .45% deduction for a new state premium. The deduction will cover contributions to the voter-approved Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program. The measure passed with 57% of the vote. Benefits won’t start being dispersed until January of 2024. The program is cost-shared by employees and employers.
