Fewer Coloradans are getting COVID-19 boosters that target omicron strains of the virus. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said 35% of people ages 65 and older have gotten the booster. The Denver Post reports that’s significantly lower than the number of people who sought the original vaccine. But numbers in the Centennial state remain higher than the national average. The CDC said just 8% of eligible people have gotten a booster though that figure is a bit higher among those 65-plus. Health officials are urging you to get boosted as soon as possible if you’re planning to gather for Thanksgiving. For more, visit https://www.denverpost.com/.
