Fort Collins residents to pay more for utilities

Utility bills in Fort Collins are slated to rise. City council approved across-the-board utility rate hikes between 3 and 5% to electric, water, wastewater, and stormwater services Tuesday. The increases are higher than projections presented last December due to inflation. The Coloradoan repots next year electricity rates will rise 5%, wastewater rates will rise 4% and stormwater rates will go up 3%.
