Fort Collins could become a hub for climate change solutions. A proposed climate research center in north Fort Collins faces a crucial hearing this week. The Coloradoan reports Powerhouse 2 goes before the city’s planning and zoning commission Thursday as it seeks to build a slightly higher than permitted building in the city’s technology corridor. Powerhouse aims to come up with climate solutions to meet a world goal of ensuring carbon emissions are at net zero by 2050 with a focus on electric power production, transportation, manufacturing, buildings, and food and agriculture.
