DA: Fort Collins officer injured in assault was removing GPS

We’re learning more about an undercover Fort Collins police officer who was assaulted on the job. The DA said the officer, who was in plainclothes when he was assaulted by an acquaintance of the suspect in the case on September 29, was apparently working to remove a GPS tracking device from a vehicle in Loveland, when he was punched unconscious. A Fort Collins police spokeswoman told the Coloradoan the officer spent a week in the hospital, and while his condition is now stable, his recovery is ongoing. Quentin Wallace of Loveland was arrested a week later in connection with the assault. Read more at https://www.coloradoan.com/.
