Colorado Dept. of Corrections leader stepping down

The leader of Colorado’s prisons is resigning. Dean Williams is stepping down from his role as executive director of the Colorado Department of Corrections. Williams will depart the agency in December after four years at the helm. Williams is credited with navigating the department through the COVID-19 pandemic and implementing several programs aimed at reducing recidivism, including starting a statewide prison radio station.
