Democratic incumbent U.S. Senator Michael Bennet has defeated GOP challenger and self-proclaimed “political outsider” Joe O’Dea. He won his third term after garning at least 58% of the vote. O’Dea called Bennet to concede, calling it a “hard-fought race.” He asked Bennet to reach across the aisle and support immigration reform. Bennet, a senior senator, has held the seat since 2009. If he completes his third term, Bennet is poised to become Colorado’s longest-serving senator in a century.
